I just reread my last Year End blog post and, sadly, it was from 2022! In it I promise to be better at it the next year - that didn't happen. Nor did it happen the next year, or the next. Woops. So here we are, 3 years later, at the end of 2025.
The highlights. The update.
So what happened with us in 2025?
Rewind a little. Campbell graduated high school in June 2024 and in November of 2024 he packed his station wagon and drove himself to live in Whistler! That was rough on a momma. Many a tear shed but it's all positive growth and he is doing well out there.
Learning lots! Now here we are in 2025. He is still a full time lifty (runs the lifts in the winter and summer). I don't think he loves the work but it allows him to put in 120+ days of skiing, live in Whistler, and make heaps of new friends from all over the world. Campbell and his girlfriend went to Paris this past October and was there the day of the Louvre Heist, exciting! Last year he wasn't allowed time off at Christmas so he couldn't come home. Thankfully this year his shifts allowed him to come home for a super quick Christmas visit. I didn't tell anyone he was coming so it was a bit of a Christmas surprise for everyone. We were happy to have everyone together this year.
In January a couple of my girlfriends and I went to Whistler to ski/visit the young lad. We typically go on a vacation together every year so this was a double whammy. We ate, we drank, we skied, we spa'd, the usual girls trip for us. The formula is perfect, we don't change it. We fed the kid at the places he can't afford, showed him the other side of Whistler. We enjoyed treatments at the spa in the Fairmont on our last day and it was a wonderful trip together. We didn't stay at the Fairmont this year but we stayed right across the road from it in an airBnB that was perfect, we could all stay together and we could make breakfasts and coffee before heading out for the day. Perfect location on the hill!Tatum is working on a philosophy degree with hopes of going into Law after. If you go back to the last
blog post I wrote in 2022 you will see me mention that she isn't as good of a cleaner as she is a student...this still holds true. But her good sense of humour and her entertaining stories keep us smiling. She is always dancing around, singing, dotting on Tony, or yelling at her brother. I have no doubt that she will get into law and become a force to be reckoned with.
Carter is studying at Sask Polytechnic and doing very well. He seems to like the classes and his classmates, it's very intense. He's taking Design and Manufacturing Engineering Technology. What's that you ask? I really have no idea. I've looked it up and it's so complicated and beyond what my brain is adapted for that I can barely understand what he is learning. It's very math and physics based and will likely be incredibly useful in some industry that is essential to mankind, one I can't even grasp. Thank goodness for people who are good at this stuff! This past summer Carter worked at Riverside and really took to golf! He is very passionate about it and (I'm told) he is getting very good at the sport.
Robb and I took a trip to Puerto Vallarta and La Penita in February. He had never been to PV or LP and it was great to show him off to our friends down there. My dad and Brian hosted us first and the drove us to LP to visit with my mom and her friends for a few days. Quick getaway to the sun together.
I took Robb on a whirlwind trip to Montreal in June A weekend away to tour him around the city I lived in for 5 years. We got to catch up with one of my old friends and I finally got to meet her family. Lots of walking and great food was had

Our annual big trip this year was to Croatia and London! We drove from the top to the bottom of Croatia and really enjoyed it. It's clean, the people are very kind and helpful, the food is delicious, water and beaches were gorgeous. Croatia has some beautiful architecture, very interesting history, and they have so many cats! I really enjoyed the cats - in case you missed my instagram stories. I would definitely go back but would do a sailing trip instead, the Adriatic Sea is stunning. The highways were amazing but I am a trained Saskatchewan highway driver so...the bar is low. Our return flight was out of London so we spent 3 days there taking in as many sights as we could and planning our trip back one day! So much to do and see I feel like we barely saw any of the city.We also had our own real estate journey this summer: we bought a 4 season cabin! This meant we sold our old park-model trailer and had to say good-bye to that place. Moving is hard work! Good to put myself in that position from time to time so I can empathize with what you guys go through. We had so many fun times there and really loved the community we were a part of. We will miss them, but we aren't far. The new neighbours we've met seem lovely! One helped me clear the driveway just today. What a guy! I am currently typing this from the comfort of the cabin, looking out the window at snow capped trees while staying warm by the fire. Worth the blood, sweat and tears of moving.
Tomorrow is the last day of 2025, how will you wrap it up?
I took on a few new challenges this year and plan to keep them up into 2026.
Do you have any big goals?
Work wise 2025 was awesome!
I had the most buyers and sellers I have ever worked with.
Thank you for trusting in me to help you this year, if you were one of them. I have big plans for my company next year and look forward to helping you or one of your friends buy or sell in 2026.
I really appreciate your referrals. It may sound cliché but when you send your friends and family to me it tells me that you trust me and you remember our time together. That's the biggest compliment I could ask for! So thank you.
All the best to you and your family in 2026.
